Coinbase Announces Onchain Summer

Yesterday, the leading US-based cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, announced its so-called Onchain Summer – a month-long festival by 50 creators and developers who will showcase novel things daily that can be done on-chain. The company also revealed the public launch date of Base – August 9th.

In response to Coinbase’s announcement, the lead developer of Shiba Inu (SHIB) – Kusama – called it a copycat of their own event ‘Summer of Shibarium’ which was announced less than a month ago.
